As the standard system can struggle to maintain temperature, especially on a tuned application, the keys to ensuring a consistently lower running temperature are to increase the capacity of the system and its ability to cool it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Solution\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eAIRTEC Motorsport’s solution to improving the original set up with the limited space available behind the bumper to make it any wider or taller was to instead extend it forwards by introducing a core that’s nearly 60mm thicker, at 90mm in depth. This allowed the use of a triple pass core design to allow the coolant to pass through the radiator three times before it exits, with capacity increased to a huge 23.3 litres, compared to the original 7.7 litres; a gain of 203%.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDespite the huge cooling capacity increase that allows the chargecooler system to run cooler for longer, the radiator fits neatly behind the bumper and requires no modifications to fit, using the OEM mounts and the original coolant connectors.
