The BC Racing ZX series is a top level range of coilover suspension kits based around the ZR series. It retains the top end features of the ZR series but in an upright monotube damper design as opposed to the inverted design of the ZR. The ZX series is designed for the discerning racer who wants the best in quality and performance without the premium price tag. The ZX series combine upright Mono-tube dampers with 3-way damper adjustment making them perfect for race use as they allow for the ultimate in damper control with high levels of damping consistency in all conditions. 3-way damping provides independent low and high speed bump and separate rebound damping adjustment for ultimate damper control. They also provide height adjustment which is obtained via the bottom mount rather than the spring platform, this allows for full damper travel at any ride height.

- External oil reservoir (remote reservoir on vehicles with McPherson struts) allows for increased oil capacity, reducing the temperatures and keeping the damping rate more consistent even in race conditions.
- Pillowball aluminium top mounts with spherical bearings are supplied with some applications. These eliminate flex in the top mount and provide a more positive steering feel. Camber adjustment is included on some vehicles.

BC Racing ZX series coilovers are designed for the ultimate in damper control for precise vehicle handling. They are ideal for competition or the most demanding track day use and will improve the handling of any vehicle. The dampers offer independent high and low speed bump with separate rebound adjustment which allows you to dial in the handling characteristics far more than can be achieved 1 or 2 way damping adjustment. It allows you to maximise grip and traction by tailoring how the car rolls onto the front tyres during braking and also how it responds as you come off the brakes and start to accelerate. The ZX series dampers also use an external or remote oil reservoir (vehicle dependent) which allows for an increased oil capacity which helps keep the oil temperature cooler and provides more consistent damping performance throughout the duration of a race. The coil springs are manufactured from the highest quality cold wound steel to retain the original rate and length so you can be sure of 'as new' performance every time.
The amazing features don't stop there, to prevent any possibility of the ride height altering due to vibrations BC Racing have produced a patented concave lower locking collar which seats into a corresponding bevel on the bottom mount. This vastly increases the locking surface area keeping the height just where you set it. Another innovative addition is a bearing mounted upper spring platform. This minimises the friction between the spring and the platform eliminating spring binding which can effect handling but also improves steering feel.
ZX series coilover kits are supplied with aluminium 'Pillowball' top mounts which greatly improve handling and response by eliminating the play associated with OEM rubber top mounts. Some versions of the Pillowball mounts also allow for camber adjustment which is ideal for optimising suspension geometry to obtain the best handling for road or track. Sold as a complete vehicle set of springs and dampers. Please note: Some kits may only include front coilovers (e.g cars with torsion bar rear suspension). Also on some vehicles it is not possible to fit coilovers on the rear so in these cases a separate damper and spring are supplied with an adjustable height platform for the spring.
